Why Do I Need a Site Visit?

The key to lowering your HSIA costs is determining which solution is best for your property. With options such as Ethernet, cable, DSL or wireless available, how is a property owner to know which solution will best fit their budget and their near and long-term needs? If no two properties are the same, then why would you expect one solution to fit all possibilities? If you're interested in saving money and optimizing your network, the answer can be found only through a site evaluation.

During a site evaluation, an experienced network engineer examines a property's telephone system, wiring infrastructure, and physical environment to determine which solution is best for that property. Only when that physical inspection is completed, can a reliable quote be provided for service.

Why does this matter? For example, if a property has Category 5 wire that supports a pure Ethernet network (which handles speeds up to 100Mb), they can install a turnkey solution for well under $12,000 including labor, one year of technical support and hardware. If the property does not have that type of wiring, their costs can increase between 50 to 300 percent, depending upon the solution they choose. The bottom line is looking at what you have before you choose a solution could save you thousands of dollars.
